“Lusti:” the ultimate adventure seeker!

Christina loves skiing more than anyone I know.  She is constantly pushing her limits and skiing radical lines all over the world.  Her passion and dedication to the sport are truly inspirational – she is an amazing role model for pursuing your dreams. The three of us (Anna, Shona, Christina) were on the team together for many years and have some amazing memories from chasing the World Cup circuit! Our camp is all about “the sisterhood” and the lifelong friends you make while pursuing excellence on the ski hill, and our friendship is a perfect example of the importance of your ski sisters.

We are SO excited to coach with Christina this summer and know that her addition to the camps will be amazing!!!!

Until the age of 24, traveling the world for ski racing was my life. Achieving top 10 world cup results and skiing around the world with great teammates are highlights I will never forget. Retiring from the Alpine Team was a tough choice, but ultimately a leap in the right direction. As the mountains had so much to offer and, Skiing them was where I wanted to be! Switching my focus from alpine racing to Backcountry skiing I developed a Passion for ski mountaineering.

I decided to level out my skiing skills with my mountain skills and enrolled in the Thompson Rivers University Adventure Guide Program. After taking this course, I committed myself to two years of backcountry training.

Always pushing herself to new heights - literally.

Always pushing herself to new heights – literally.

Going through the ACMG Assistant ski guide exam was some of the most exciting times of my life. Having a goal, and knowing the hard work it takes to achieve it really pushes a person to accomplish amazing things. I feel truly blessed to be able to be working towards a goal, while all the while combining my passion for skiing.  I am excited to work in the Ski Guiding industry and to share my knowledge and experiences with clients.

My love for the mountains has opened up a life of opportunity and incredible experiences.  Living out new adventures through skiing with great friends is something I hope to be able to do the rest of my life. I am so excited and feel very privileged to be a member of the Arc’teryx Team and will continue to push the limits of women’s ski mountaineering! I am currently working as an assistant ski guide for CMH , and Whitecap Alpine Touring a remote backcountry ski lodge in the BC Coast mountains.

I am very excited to be able to coach the next generation of skiers at the sisterhood camps. This camp creates a way for us as coaches to pass on our passion and knowledge for the sport to help motivate younger athletes to pursue and reach their own goals.
