Day 1 – Sisterhood 2016

By June 25, 2016 Uncategorized

Welcome back to the SISTERHOOD! We’re so excited that everyone’s settled in and psyched to ski tomorrow! We have lots of great plans for this summer and can’t wait to get started. So far we’ve learned EVERYONE’s NAME (for real! Not an easy task!!). We have girls from all across Canada, including Prince Edward Island, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia; and American girls from Utah and New Hampshire. The coaches are all psyched! We have seven staff this year, which is a record.

Leslie made a delicious chile and salad for dinner with homemade chocolate cake for dessert. We all hung out and planned for a great day of slalom tomorrow. Also, we gave each of the girls a Sisterhood Journal where they can take notes, reflect on their day, and complete their homework assignment each night. Tonight’s assignment is to make a sweet title page and write three things they hope to get out of this camp. Our interns Sadie and Sarah, who attended our first ever camp, gave the girls some advice on this topic. Their top three things for a successful Sisterhood camp were 1) sunscreen, water, and sleep; 2) every run counts; and 3) dance parties rule! We totally agree!

Tomorrow’s forecast is sunny with a chance of stubbies – we are looking forward to an awesome first day!

Here are some (sadly, only iphone) photos from today! Stay posted for some cooler pics tomorrow!
